Haveing trouble loggin into pop

Hi,

I have installed Qmail and everthing went smoothly. The problem I'm haveing is using any e-mail client my POP account won't authenticate. It just rejects the password.
I don't know what information would be need to help me with this as "Yes I'm a newbie" at this
Any help would be greatly apprecieated.

As expected ...being a newbie. I found the problem to be that the POPD server wanted a complete name foo@yourdomain.com
