Hello!

Like dozens (maybe hundreds!) of others, I've decided to break away from Windows and try Fedora...

I've installed it a couple of times already, in different configurations, on a spare HDD on this PC, which is fully functional with Win98/WinXP/Win 2003 Server...(deleting the previous install each time)...

...But Fedoras' Soundcard Wizard does not find my Sound Blaster AWE64 ISA soundcard...

I know this can't be right; this is the most well-known of all soundcards...

So, is there a way to manipulate Fedora to recognize my AWE64???

...Thankyouverymuch!... ;)

You could try installing ALSA. I made a guide:

Cool! Thanks!

I should have mentioned I'm a Linux newbie (but you already knew that!). Hopefully, in a year or two, I'll have absorbed enough about Linux to attempt this...
