Autentication problem

I am trying to learn to log in via VMC and doing this I did something wrong.
Now I cannot log in any more, only as root.

When trying to login, the error "Autentication service cannot retrive autentication info.

Yes, I clicked on somthing which had to do wieth Autentication, but I do not know exactly, what I did.

Does anyone know, where I can redo this when I am logged in as root? Where is this Autentication Info witten? Which service does need this info?

I am suddenly having the same problem.

I suddenly cannot log in with my username and password anymore. I get an authentication error when I try to log in.
