I got a debian box, running DHCP server. My WinXP box get an IP and everything works fine. Tho, my FC4 box, dont get an IP, and even if I specify it using ifconfig, none of the other computers can communicate with it, even tho it is on the same network.

When I do an ifconfig, I notice that it drops all TX packets. And when I ping it from my WinXP machine, and spies on the traffic on my FC4 box, using tethereal, I notice connection attempts from my WinXP box, and it is NOT my iptables firewall messing with me.

The WinXP machine is getting "Request timedout", so it seems like the FC4 box recieves packets (more or less), but dont/cant answer. Wierd? Even more wierd is that it DID work in the start, even tho i had to specify a static lan ip using ifconfig, but then suddenly, it all stopped working.

I have reinstalled FC4, but still same thing, it doesnt manage to get an IP from the DHCP server while booting, and cant get one later on using ifconfig or dhclient.

Any ideas?

Thanks, btw, my network card is an onboard (brand new) and it IS plugged in correctly.
