Hi,
I am trying to setup a gateway using my FC4 box, I followed this tutorial http://fedoranews.org/ghenry/gateway-non-ppp/ and when I use eth1 as the gateway and connect eth0 with a crossover cable to my laptop running XP, all works well
However this is inconvinient and I'd rather use the wireless, I have configured the wireless card and it seems to work fine (iwlist wlan0 scan show all cells in my neighborhood), however it doesnt associate with my laptop, I have always used wlan in linux as the client, i.e I set it to get dhcp config and it worked, I knew this because if I dont get IP config I know it has not associated with the AP. But in this case I have configured wlan0 with a static IP so I cannot probe the problem
Form the XP client it shows that it has associated (Ad-Hoc mode) but it doesnt get an IP, but from FC4 when using wifi-radar, it show no association.
Can someone help me out configure this wireless card in ad-hoc mode as the gateway, i.e running dhcp
I apprecite it
