PPP over serial

I would like to set up a PPP link between 2 computers using their serial ports and a null-modem cable. One machine is Linux Fedora Core 4. The other is OpenBSD 3.7.

Could someone give me simple instructions or point me to an existing how-to that

1) Is not hopelesly outdated

2) Does not concentrate on the modem, since I don't have one.
