....As i can see, there are allmost NO programs made only for Fedora.
Do Fedora require its own programs? Or is it possible to run a redhat program in Fedora Core1?
If its not possible, then everyone should forget Fedora, then its NO programs or stuff for it... ^^ :(

Hi,
Even though I don't want to turn someone away from fedora, I think you need to learn much more before installing. See fedora is based off of linux, and linux and alot of software build for it, go to freshmeat.net to see some. So do some more research about fedora and linux, then install fedora or what ever distribution of linux you choose. Fedora is good for beginners. Hope this helps. Bye

Use yum to get programs for Fedora. There is a yum configuration file in the FAQ.
Then type "yum install <packagename>" to install a program, and "yum update <packagename>" to update a program.
I love yum.

Many Red Hat 8/9 programs will work in Fedora.
However, it's always better to use software built for Fedora. If you have problems installing Red Hat software on Fedora, then you're probably out of luck. But if it works, then great! :-)

The f.a.q. answers this, please read before asking. If you meant software made especially for fedora, the redhat-config tools among others are made by redhat, for rhel and fedora.
