Firewire/iPod on iMac G4

Hello,

I am currently running FC4 on an iMac G4. I have a 3rd generation iPod formated as hfs/hfsplus, whatever the default is. Installed gtkpod, but I could not get the iPod to mount. Prehaps there is a problem with Firewire?

Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have a USB cable to try? Firewire is not as common.

I dont have USB cable for my iPod. Any other ideas? Thanks.
