One of my clients requires me to connect my laptop to his Gigabit switch. Unfortunetly, my laptop does not have a gigabit card.

Can anyone suggest a good PCMCIA gigabit ethernet card for my laptop (running FC4, latest kernel)?

I am using a Toshiba Tecra S1.

Thanks

Usually, the faster connctor gissmo also acept low speeds, like 100 and 10
If that's really not the case, get a small (4 port) 100,100,10 hub. Connect to it and connect it to the switch.

there are very few gigabit laptop cards.

there's no reason why a 100baset card couldn't connect to the same switch - it won't slow his network down or anything, like a hub would.

in my desktop machines i use realtek rtl8169 cards, they're more reliable than the intel pro 1000 range, so see if you can get a laptop card that uses that chipset
