Ok, so I set up a computer with FC3. Set up Samba. nothing works, I can't get into it. I can get in via SSH/SCP. I tried everything, and it couldn't find the network path, even though I could see FC3 on the network.
Then I came to a realization: I had turned the firewall on, even though the machine resides behind a firewall anyway. So I turned it off, and boom, everything flies.
So I rearrange my home office, then I set up the PC downstairs, in the basement, as a headless server for file sharing.
Only now I can't get into it again.
The question is, if I turn off the firewall in FC3, does it reengage after a reboot?
