I have been trying to figure out this for about 4 days now. I am at the point of pulling out my hair. hahaha

I have a Dell D600 Latitude. I have installed drivers ipw2100. I am trying to activate the hardware and getting this information.

Error for wireless request "Set Frequency" (8B04) :
SET failed on device eth1 ; Operation not supported.

Determining IP information for eth1... failed.

I can iwlist and get my access points.

[root@localhost ~]# iwlist scanning
lo Interface doesn't support scanning.

eth0 Interface doesn't support scanning.

I have installed NetworkManagerInfo.

I have ran through about 4 different tutourials. I am doing word for word and I cant get this figured out. I am totaly new to Linux. I have been learning this for about 2 weeks now.

Can someone please carebear me the directions on how to install this driver?

Beenie

first , what is your wireless card ? is your Dell equip with Centrino ?
if ipw2100 won't work... try ipw2200...

check the version of your centrino...

It is a Centrino... Ok I will try ipw2200. Will that work even though I am a 2100? Thank you for the response. :)
