Hi Guys,
I'm stuck here :p
I'm using Netgear router (WGT624)
My fedora is running with ndiswrapper (belkin driver - broadcom) with WPA supplicant and it works fine, but if i disable SSID name broadcast i cant connect.
Anyone have any idea how to get it to run without ssid broadcast turned on router?
Thanks

under system settings, network. select your wlan0 and hit edit. on the last tab you can set it to manual or automatic. now put in specified under ssid and type in the name of it and you are done. let me know if it works

In your wpa_supplicant.conf file add or change
ap_scan=2

Don't forget to recompile the cli, passphrase, supplicant execs

hi everyone. i'm new to fedora and just got it installed 2 days ago and set up wireless (HOORAY!). but i want to make my wireless hidden again but i can't get fedora to connect unless it's visible. this is a great forum post, but i don't know where this wpa supplicant file is located. can you fedora gods give me the system path and tell me how to recompile the cli, passphrase, etc? thanks.

The file should be /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supllicant.conf

Howdy,
If you use this method, is it possible to connect to other wireless networks also? Or does this method "hard code" wlan settings for only one wlan network?
