as root: yum install tsclient

then run tsclient as user.

tsclient is a GUI for rdesktop. you technically don't need it but it gives it a nice warm 'n fuzzy graphical frontend which makes it easier.

(You should probably start a new thread for this question. But anyway...)

If you just need a terminal, use SSH (many clients, putty (http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/) is a popular one for Windows). You can also use X forwarding if you get an X server, but that won't let you use the "desktop".

If you need a remote "desktop", you should use VNC. Fedora Core comes with RealVNC ("vnc" and "vnc-server" packages), and there are many other VNC implementations also, including TightVNC (http://www.tightvnc.com/). All these implementations are also available for Windows.

There's a new technology called NX, which is like VNC but faster; but I won't get into that now.

to open it you can either:
1) go to a terninal type tsclient (not as root)
2) go to your menu (whichever one you use....kde or gnome) and in the Internet menu you should see Terminal Service Client.

to use it:
it really is pretty self explainitory. once you get in their you'll see. just put the remote computer's IP or hostname in the Computer blank and hit connect. lots of other options to customize the connection.

For more info:
man tsclient
man rdesktop
