After checking the release notes of the Cisco VPN client, I noticed that it doesn't support SMP so I decided to try out vpnc. The first time I ran it, it worked wonderfully. However after disconnecting, I'm unable to reconnect. It runs without error, and the verbose log output, route table, ifconfig and resolv.conf all look the same but I can't ping inside the VPN. I tried using a different FC4 system and I had the exact same problem. The really strange thing is that after a day or so the problem goes away, I'm able to connect once, and then the problem returns. I don't think it's my firewall because the problem persists even after I reboot it. I tried disabling SELinux but it didn't seem to help.
