I cannot go "online" with Fedora, I am online with the same machine that Fedora is installed on, but I am running Knoppix Live, so I can post here.
How is it Knoppix "finds" my nic and netwerk but Fedora can't? I installed Knoppix on my other machine to the HDD and now it won't go online either. Is there a way for me to "see" the netwerk particulars while running knoppix and then, write 'em down for use with my Fedora install? Where do I "configure" my netwerk......I just wanna go online!
I am with Shaw Cable, using a Motorola Surfboard cable modem, Us Robotics broadband router. I have tried direct connection to the modem ( without router ) and, direct connection with the USB interface on the modem, No luck. Also, I have tried using both nic cards to hook up to the router and direct to the modem.
Please Help, I think I like Fedora, but a machine without internet SUCKS!
