Network problem with FC4

Hello, im new in FC.

I installed FC4 with a personal desktop option (sorry for my english, im spanish). Everything works fine at startup, but the problem is that the conection only works if a move the mouse!! i cant belive it.

When i ping my router the answer is "Destination host unreachable", but if i do that moving the mouse, i get a good response.

Is there anything im forgeting in the instalation?

I dont know what to do!!

Interrupt problem ? Is it an old machine ? Have you tried plugging in the mouse somewhere else to free that IRQ channel ?

The machine is a Compaq Presario R4000 (Athlon 64 +3200). The mouse is in a USB port.
