Hi, Im having a problem with getting my wpa_supplicant to work.
When I write:
wpa_supplicant -B -D ipw -i eth1 -c /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf
I get the following error message:
ENGINE: ctrl cmd_string failed: LOAD (null)
[error:25066067:DS0 support routines:DLFCN_LOAD: could not load the shared library]
SSL: Failed to initialize TLS context. Failed to initialize EAPOL state machines.
Does anyone know what this means? Im lost, please help.
My wireless card is a Intel Wireless/Pro 2200BG
Thanks

Sorry, don't know what those mean, although I am also using wpa_supplicant with my Intel Pro 2200 card.
One thing you might try is using -Dwext (or maybe -DWext) instead of -Dipw (using the wireless extensions driver instead of the ipw2200). If that doesn't work....
I know this is not the "Fedora way"/open source way, but I've been using Linuxant's driverloader program in combination with Windows's drivers to run my ipw2200 card, and it works great in combination with wpa_supplicant. I have generally found the native linux ipw2200 drivers to be kind of unstable, with lots of firmware restarts, and things breaking/changing with every new version. In contrast, the driverloader program has become very stable and mature last year, works very well, they compile rpms specifically for FC4 (and will for FC5), and they provide email support within 24 business hours. However, it's not completely open source, and you need to pay about 20$ to get a license (life long, includes all updates; you can get a 30-day trial version for free.). Take your pick.
They also have wpa_supplicant rpms specifically for driverloader, although I compiled my own. The appropriate command to use wpa_supplicant with driverloader would be:
wpa_supplicant -Bw -ieth1 -c/etc/wpa_supplicant.conf -Dhostap
(use the hostap driver when using driverloader)
