static ip address setup!!

hey all, just need help setting up a static ip on FC4, its already installed. I tried going through the Network option in system settings but once i apply the changes i get no internet connection after....It maybe becuase i have no idea where to manually add primary and secondary DNS address? thx 4 ur help guys.....

use 'system-config-network'

and after using system-config-network from the command line do this.
service network restart
or even after using the GUI/network setup

hi guys!
i also have a problem similar...but i cant solve it...
i set up static IP for my FC3 and shared internet connection on windows XP.
every i set up IP system-config-network it asked me to save but after reboot all the settings just gone!?
i succeed in set up IP and ping each other without loosing packet however when i turn on firefox to surf it keep saying page not found...
im sure the internet connection sharing is correct because if i use another computer running xp plug into same cable internet works fine.
anything i do wrong here please?
