Bibletime for KDE
I had a similar problem and installed Bibletime for KDE instead.
If you're willing to use a KDE version of Bibletime, here's what you need and how to do it: You'll need: 1. sword-1.5.7-1.fc3.i386.rpm get it from http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat....i386.rpm.html 2. bibletime-1.4.1-1.fc3.i386.rpm get it from http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat....i386.rpm.html Then, install sword first and then bibletime, run bibletime and it should work. I did this on FC3 (full install) and it works great. You can even get more modules from the download section of http://www.bibletime.info/index.html I have attached a screenshot of the KDE version so you'll know what it looks like. The KDE version comes with the King James Version module and the screenshot shows other modules that I have installed. Hope this works for you :) |

Thanks for the help....but could not find the linux modules for me to download. Do you remember the exact link that will take me to the linux modules because all I see is .zip files and window downloads.
UPDATE: After some reading I found the bible modules and once I was done with download I log out and login as root and moved the RAW ZIP file and extracted to /usr/share/sword and changed the folders permissions so I run the bible software and after doing that I was able to see the KJV bible as regular user... :) |
I am glad you got it working. I unpacked the .zip modules into my ~/.sword directory (works just as easily) so they would be backed up with my ~/ directory every night :)
By the way, how did you get the square corners on your Bluecurve theme? That looks very nice :D |
I am using my entire monitor screen....didnt do anything special.

I got Gnomesword to install on FC2, I think with the these rpms.

Gnomesword modules
anyone know if there is a mirror somewhere with text modules for gnomesword? Or can anyone tell me how to convert the bbl files from e-Sword and import them into GnomeSword?
Got GnomeSword 2.1.2 running on FC4 just fine with yum.. but no modules! crossfire.org is down <?> |
crossfire.org web site at least seems to work. And I thought it had some kind of meta server capability, so it gets a list of mirrors. Try again.
