Samba, Vista RC1, and Roaming Profiles

I'm running FC5 w/ Samba 3.0.22-1.

I've been trying to get this combination working since Vista RC1 was released am having no luck. I run the domain with roaming profiles on my internal network and it works great with my XP clients but I cannot get a roaming profile working with my Vista client after I join the domain. The profiles directory on the samba home directory is empty, I gather this is because the "documents and settings" directory has been renamed to "users".

Has anyone been successful in getting roaming profiles to work on Vista clients?

You can update samba to version 3.0.23c for FC5 with rpm's from samba.org.

There is a lot of fixes and upgraded code for the "Domain" sever funtions between 22 and 23c for 23k and xp.

But if Vista has changed things around then samba will need time to catch up and I would guess that means Vista release + 90 dyas.. i.e. Samba-3.0.25 or 26?

Updating to 23c did not help, thanks for the suggestion though. I'll inquire at the source and see if I can find out more.

For anyone interested, Samba 3.0.23d and Vista RTM fixed my issues. The only change I had to make was to create a username.V2 directory in my profiles location. After assigning appropriate permissions I am able to log on to XP and Vista boxes with one username using different profiles.
