Unhappy Couldn't display "SMB:///" , No host "(Null)" could been Found?????? help please

When i open network servers (Both root and user) in Fodora 1 i get the following message.....

Couldn't display "SMB:///" , No host "(Null)" could been Found??????


Please Help me resolve this, samda working and can see server in windows etc...

My SMB.conf file

[global]

hosts allow = 192.168.1.
workgroup = Mshome
server string = Server01 Samba Server
username map = /etc/samba/smbusers
socket options = TCP_NODELAY

[homes]
comment = Home Directories
browseable = no
writeable = yes
[tmp]

comment = Temporary file space
path = /tmp
writeable = yes
guest ok = yes

[Untitled_1]
path = /home/server/Untitled 1
writeable = yes
guest ok = yes

Do you have smbclient installed?

Yes, i have smbclient installed and done four full clean installs with changes and every time i click network servers i get the same.........

its will not beat me but i getting pi**** off with it.

all i want to do is see the linux box with windows xp (share) in a neighborhood network stylee, i got xp to linux but not linux to xp if you know what i mean.

Funny, mine worked right off the bat, can see all XP boxes in my home domain Thing I can't get to work is to browse the shares on my W2K3 server

The win2k3 server problem is due to the CIFS file system, I guess.

Munkey, try to use other software to browse the network such as smb4k, LinNeighborhood, ...
