Exclamation Card reader problems

Hi all:
I am new to this board and very glad to be here. My problem is with my card reader.
I have a MSI L 720. I have just made the jump from windows to many other distros to Fedora 7. I have everything working very well, but my card reader will read and write sd card but, not sony cards any thoughts?
I am not new to linux per say, but I am not really gifted too. Any help would be really nice.
Thanks
TM
