Kernel Makefile not found at '/lib/modules/2.6.22.1-41.fc7/source/'
If patch or script failed, check pre/ and post/ for current stage.
make: *** [compatible/modified] Error 1
so i went to /lib/modules/2.6.22.1-41.fc7/ and found the source file, but it is a broken link. when i double click it it says:
Code:
This link can't be used, because its target "/usr/src/kernels/2.6.22.1-41.fc7-x86_64" doesn't exist.
so, i then went to /usr/src/kernels/ and i have three folders in there:
2.6.20-2925.13.fc7-xen-x86_64
2.6.20-2925.13.fc7xen-x86_64 (link to /usr/src/kernels/2.6.20-2925.13.fc7-xen-x86_64)
2.6.21-1.3194.fc7-x86_64

so, when i did the kernel upgrade did something go wrong?

Looks like you are using a non-Xen kernel but you have installed the wrong kernel-devel (Xen).

P.S. also there seems to be the original kernel-devel there as found on the installation media. Maybe the yum update can't handle both types of kernel-devel?

what do you suggest i do? should i reinstall fedora and start all over again? (its a new install so thats not that big a deal) but i would like to know what i did wrong so i dont do it again

Just install the right kernel-devel package, there's no need to reinstall.

http://mirrors.kernel.org/fedora/upd...fc7.x86_64.rpm

You can download the above kernel-devel file and install it with
rpm -ivh kernel-devel*

then retry the make command of your wireless driver.
