Thumbs down Intel Pro Wireless 3945 and FC8

Hello,
I'm new to Linux.
I have installed FC8 and it works except that I have no wireless with Intel Pro Wireless 3945. It seems to be a recurring problem.
I'm back to windows
Any help?

I have the same card and mine worked by default ...

Open a terminal window and type (as root) NetworkManager

Click on the icon that appears in the system tray and connect to a wifi network, enter your ESSID

It more than likely recognizes it, you just need an interface to automatically connect to a network

Hello phiga

Like PhillyFloyd I have one of those working well out of the box as well. However, your experience can be different depending on - believe it or not - the medium you install from and which desktop environment you are working in.

Did you install from one of the Live CD's or did you install from a DVD? Are you running Gnome or KDE as your desktop environment?
