Hi all. Regarding Google Earth. I've always had pretty fair results with Google Earth under Fedora, however, problems arise now. I've done some searching of the forum and on Google itself with no satisfying results. I turn to all here. Just installed Google Earth 4.3 beta. I downloaded the .bin file from earth.google.com. It installs fine but when run from terminal as regular user or root I get the following error.
[glenn@toshiba ~]$ googleearth
do_wait: drmWaitVBlank returned -1, IRQs don't seem to be working correctly.
Try running with LIBGL_THROTTLE_REFRESH and LIBL_SYNC_REFRESH unset.
The program does eventually run if I wait a couple minutes. I've installed Google Earth 4.3 on two computers, a desktop with a Radeon card and a laptop with an Intel Video chip. Same error both machines. The kernel on both machines is 184.108.40.206-64.fc8. That said, I have 2 questions. One, any ideas on how to get around my little issue (anyone else having the same problem?), and 2, if I can't overcome the errors then how do I uninstall a .bin file? I'm thinking of installing the 4.2 version to see if that works any better.
