installation of compiz-fusion on F9

Hello,

I would like to install compiz-fusion on a recent-installed fedora 9.
I'm newbie.

I want to make as shown in the tutorial (in the forum, topic "how-tos", so I must have direct rendering, but when I enter "glxinfo |grep direct", in su mode, I have the answer "glxinfo : command not found".

do you know how to install glxinfo or/and direct rendering?

I dont know what installs glxinfo or if installed with FC. But check you have your path to look at /bin & /sbin...

Install the glx-utils package:

1. open a terminal
2. become root: su -
3. yum install glx-utils
4. answer with "y", if yum asks.

I reinstalled fedora, and now when I enter glxinfo |grep direct, I have the following message :

[lolveley@localhost ~]$ glxinfo |grep direct
Error: couldn't find RGB GLX visual or fbconfig
[lolveley@localhost ~]$

do you know how to install direct rendering?
