Question how to re-establish wireless connection

Hi,

I configured wireless connection and start network via /etc/init.d/network script

how ever sometimes connection disappears (when I restart a router for an instance).

How to configure my network card to re-establish connection when it is possible.

Thanks in advance.

Well, you can go into the Network Manager and edit the Wireless Connection.
Then select:
Controlled By Network Manager and Activate When Computer Starts

Good Luck!

is it possible to use it without NetwokManager?

NetwokManager does to much work behind the scene

I do not want to use DHCP (but networkmanager tries to connect to dhcp even when I setup a static ip for my wireless interface)

also as far as I know network manager was designed for desktop stations, while I'm going to connect a server (probably without xserver)
