Fedora 10 - Netork/Network Manager Service

Hi, I've been having some trouble with my network connection in Fedora 10.


I installed fedora 10 about a month ago (first time Linux user), I had some troubles with my internet connection (wired network). I'd read a possible solution on the fedora 10 FAQ, that failed to solve the problem, then I read that the network service might work better then the NetworkManager service on a wired network. so I swapped over and it worked well for some time. However, now the connection dies whenever the internet is not been accessed (get a disabling IRQ #23 error), and wont start again without restarting the network service. So, I thought I'd give the NetworkManager another try, however it refuses to boot up with the computer despite adding it back to the startup list.



If someone has any ideas, I'd be great.

I dunno,
may it something to do with the apm or acpi or one of those power saving things?
Could be turning your network off to "save energy"

I used to get this too. I had my Centos box keep turning off the lan, not good when it supposed to be a server! I had to disable something in the bois to get it to quit doing that. Seems to be OK for now, crossed fingers.
