Crazy NumLock led

Is anyone else having a crazy behaviour from the NumLock led on keyboard?
I enabled in the KDE control panel the option "turn NumLock on at startup": in fact NumLock is on at startup, but the keyboard led is off. If I press the NumLock key, the keyboard led turns on, but NumLock goes off!
