Fedora 15 post install boot issue

I performed a clean install of Fedora 15 from DVD and it goes fine until the end when the install program says to reboot the computer. Once I do that, the computer hangs before Grub loads, i.e. just after all of the BIOS messages, so there isn't any error message to indicate what is wrong. I had no issues with Fedora 14.

Any ideas?

Verify the checksum of the DVD .. see if it has any errors

The checksum was good.

It looks like it has something to do with the install using EFI as a non-EFI install seems to be working so far.

I have this problem too. My box is an emachines E525 laptop. The screen goes black upon trying to reboot. This happened after an upgrade and after an install from DVD. The DVD has been verified. FC14 worked just fine.

It looks like some sort of hibernation because re-booting is not easy. The same thing happens with a rescue from the DVD.
