Gateway LT27 Netbook Media Card Reader

Hey All, very Newbie to the Linux World (F15) from about 15yrs of being a well experienced Windows user, after making this transition to Fedora 15, I can't see reasons to go back, except to play my Sims but along the way i am sure i will have so many Linux questions, like the one's I have now.

I am using a Gateway Netbook LT27, I have everything working and running great except my video Ratio is 1024X600, when I ran windows i had 1280x1024 no glitches, is this normal or is there a way to correct this?

my other question is I am unable to locate driver for my Media card reader, am I SOL or is there another alternative to getting this working through the Linux enviroment.

Thank You

Fedora 15
Gnome 3
