Monitor keeps blacking out

I used to set my monitor to never turn off, but F16 does not have "never" option. My monitor goes black every ten minutes or so, and then I need to turn it off and on to get the sync back. Is there a menu somewhere I may have missed? I'm running Gnome classic on the desktop, btw. Thanks!

Re: Monitor keeps blacking out

I had the same issue on Fedora 15 with full Gnome 3 desktop. This resolved it for me (I don't use a screensaver):

$ gnome-session-properties
  • Startup Programs
  • Uncheck Power Manager
$ dconf-editor
  • Set org.gnome.desktop.screensaver.idle-activation-enabled to false
