alacarte fails due to missing gmenu

Hi
I need to add some apps I've compiled to the menu.
Running FC16x86_64
Alacarte fails to start due to a missing module gmenu.
I've search in the archives and not found anything to help.

Is there an alternate way to add application the the menu ?

Thanks
Richard
