How to speed up samba share?

I am newer to Fedora. Previously i was using ubuntu. For a change i shifted to Fedora 16. And i liked it a lot. However i dont experience the same speed in accessing samba when compared with ubuntu. Right now i have configured samba server in FC16. However when i access this samba share from windows machine it takes more than a minute to display the samba folders. How do i speed it up?
