Characters in some apps are too small

hello people

well I'm new in this forum and i join on it because I use Fedora 16 in my house and my work, and second i have a little problem.

After of the instalation of Nvidia drivers and kernel update it work correctly and I have the sound of my hdmi port and wine rning for some windows aplications.. but something happen with some apps like Konversation, Kopete, Dolphin and others, the characters of this programs now looks too small... is really complicated I've put my resolution to 320x240 even and still with the same problem... I have no idea what is the cause of this problem...


can you help me? I'm using Fedora 16 64 bits with the last kernel update...

I have the problem too with KDE desktop (there all characters are small), I'm using XFCE now

Try using the "CTRL +" (that's ctrl & the plus key) combo to make it bigger. ("CTRL -" to make it smaller - that's ctrl & the minus key)

This should change whatever you are "focused" on & it should retain it.
I use this in firefox on some sites that render to small & it works as above.
BTW: I'm using Gnome 3 & nautilus - not sure how it will work in other DE's.

Sounds like you're seeing this problem when running certain KDE apps under Gnome. My guess is that in Gnome3, the KDE apps font sizes are defaulting back to their default KDE size.

I'm sure someone has a solution or a better suggestion than I, but If you have KDE installed, you might try increasing KDE's default font sizes (and/or the font sizes of the app) from within KDE. Maybe it will stick when you're back in Gnome3.
