update from f16 to f17

Hi, when I use yum update the system ,there is a problem below:

Downloading Packages:
Running Transaction Check
ERROR You need to update rpm to handle:
rpmlib(X-CheckUnifiedSystemdir) is needed by filesystem-3.1-1.fc17.x86_64
RPM needs to be updated
You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest

Since it says rpm needs to be updated, what happens if you try first:

yum update rpm*

I think it is problem of filesystem version different.

after running the steps in the link I posted you should be able to update the filesystem package
