I searched for solutions
here and in uncountable other forums, including this one...I've already downloaded and burned the second Fedora Core3 CD1, but the installer always hangs on loading /sbin/loader, nothing happens after printing out this line. I've tried different parameters (
linux nopcmcia; linux text; linux resolution=1024x768; linux nofb...) without success. Always appears the same problem.
It's Medium-Notebook 2,5GHz P4 with a SIS950-graphic-chip ...

Fedora Core installer doesn't like LCD screens in graphical mode. Use
"linux text" to install.

I already tried this parameter

I have a Gericom Masterpiece and I tried to install
Fedora, Slackware and RH9 on it but it was always crashing on the
beggining of the kernel load. After trying some stuff like kernel
parameters, with no results, I just turned off the USB controller
option on the BIOS and everything went really fine.

Also when I deactivate my USB-Controller on that notebook, Fedora Core3-Installer hangs after printing out: "loading /sbin/loader".
It seems that it has something to do with the LCD-panel, but how can I solve that?
Thanks for all replies and advises.
