Permissions to write to this folder

Hi everyone, I've just installed Fedora 8 (so yeah, I'm a newbie) and I'm enjoying it really much. I only have one problem when I try to paste some plugins for amsn, it says:

"Error while moving items to "/usr/share/amsn/plugins".
You do not have permissions to write to this folder.

How can I solve this?
Thanks in advance.

You're too used to doing things the way of evil bill. The path you're trying to install to is the global amsn plugins directory, writable ONLY by root. This is to protect you from compromising the whole system by installing dangerous software where it could affect anyone besides yourself.

If you need to install your plugins so that ALL USERS can access them, then you need to do it as root, but MAKE ABSOLUTELY SURE that the plugins you install there are SAFE and come from trusted sources. Alternatively, install your plugins to ~/.amsn/plugins (note: the "~" means your home directory "/home/yourusername")
