Reboot and when the grub splash screen come up hit any key to enter the grub menu
Hit the E key for EDIT MODE
Scroll down to the line that starts kernel=
Hit A to append, at the end of the line, remove the quiet option
Then boot and post what is outputed on the screen while it hangs
It could be a few things, from hardware to the vt being switched to just missing that it's the graphics driver and it appears to hang
