no wifi networks any more

since one week i can't find wireless networks anymore (most likely as an result of an update, but i was connected by wire at that time so i can't tell for shure)
tryed it with multiple networks of which i am sure were public and working

i think it got something to do with the driver cause neither netwolmanager nor iwlist find anything.
has anyone an idea how to fix this

kernel is 2.6.25.6-55.fc9.x86_64
nm version: 0.7.0
wirelesscard:Atheros Communications Inc. AR242x 802.11abg Wireless PCI Express Adapter with driver ath5k (builtin in kernel)

Beauty is in the details.

So, it looks like your network interfaces are working. Are you using the NetworkManager (NM)? Have you seen some of the issues others are having with NM?

the only other issue i am expiriacig is a regular disconnet when conntected to a special access point, but others (with different os's) have this too so i don't think its realated anyway.
Yes i am using the netwoek manager but so far i did not find an other issue to in the forum that i have too(they all could at least see the networks).
