Unhappy i feel unhappy with the present circumstances

I am green in the field of Linux. I have been using Fedora for quite a few months. But the computer, while getting started, shows "Gnome Power Installation failed". The computer, having a RAM of 256 MB, has slowed down. The BACK-button option in the Mozilla Browser doesn't work. A few days ago, it did reboot a number of times - at its own whims!

My computer is celebrating its 7 years of age. What should I do?

Code:
su -
yum update --enablerepo=updates-testing
and you might check that PSU. After 7 years of service it might need a replacement

Or the PSU might need a good cleaning..or the CPU heat sink or tghe CPU fan is bonkers...pick one or all
At 256m memory, that's bare minimum too.
And the memory might be going also...try memtest86 (it's on a install CD/DVD and Live CD's) at boot time.
