Raid controller support Fedoca Core 7/8/9

Hello

What raid controllers are supported by fedora core 7, 8 and 9. I need
to create hardware based raid 1 but i'm not sure what controllers are supported.
So what card's are supported? I read that Adaptec has cards that would work
but which one of them? The price and supported hard disks types(scsi, sata, sas) don't matter
as long the card is supported.

Well, most hardware raid cards are geared for servers, and not supporting linux with server hardware is a certain way to drive yourself into the ground. Yes, adaptec hardware is supported -- they provide source for their drivers. Your best bet is to look at the manufacturer's website for the specific hardware you are interested in. My advice is to look for an SAS card -- scsi is obsolete, and SATA drives are compatible with SAS controllers.
