mozilla media player

Hello all;

I recently installed through yum
vlc
mozilla-vlc
libmms

this is playing streams perfect. I am having an issue getting vlc to be used by mozilla firefox though. I have gone to the pref page and mplayer and windows media player are listed, but not vlc. How can i use vlc as my player in firefox....

any help would be great!

to test it is best to just rename them
example:
libtotem-basic-plugin.so
-- to --
libtotem-basic-plugin.so.off
