Webcam : ID 046d:08f6 Logitech, Inc. Quickcam Messenger Plus

My lsusb :

ID 046d:08f6 Logitech, Inc. Quickcam Messenger Plus

I ve installed qc-usb (yum install qc-usb) and later i have loaded the quickcam module (modprobe quickcam) but it doesn't work with a lot of software (like Skype Ekiga Camorama Cheese etc..).
It doesn't create the device /dev/video0. I tested this webcam one year ago on a Ubuntu 7.10 and everything worked with the same driver.
Can i solve in anyway?
Thanks

Peraphs i have to install qc-usb-messenger driver. Anyone know in what way i can install it whitout script install.sh?

I obtain this error

echo " ERROR: Kernel configuration is invalid."; \
echo " include/linux/autoconf.h or include/config/auto.conf are missing."; \
echo " Run 'make oldconfig && make prepare' on kernel src to fix it."; \
echo; \

and i have installed kernel-devel package!!

any ideas????
