Will The Sims 2 run with Wine?

I'm debating between trying to hunt down my Disk 1 of Sims 2 or giving my Seasons expansion pack to a friend. I have no idea where the disk is, but if the game will install and work with Wine, I plan to do my best to find it. I don't want to look for it if it won't work, so does anybody know if it will?
