Shockwave plugin for Firefox

I installed shockwave to try and get a game working. The game ended up not working correctly and shockwave installe da plugin to play flash content in Firefox. So now Firefox won't play flash content. I removed Shckwave but Shockwave left the plugin for Firefox. I cannot seem to getrid of it I even reintalled the flash plugin to no avil. So I need some help getting rid of the Shockwave plugin from Firefox. Then I can reinstall the flash plugin. Thanks for any help I can get.

honestly can't remember off the top of my head were I got the rpms but they were rpms so they were for linux, these were the rpms:

swfdec-0.9.2-2.fc11.i586.rpm
swfdec-devel-0.9.2-2.fc11.i586.rpm
swfdec-gnome-2.26.0-1.fc11.i586.rpm
swfdec-gtk-0.9.2-2.f11.i586.rpm
swfdec-gtk-devel-0.9.2-2.fc11.i586.rpm

so as you can see there were built for Fedora 11. I just can't figure out how to get the Shockwave firefox pluin to uninstall.

*update*
I found out how to manually uninstall the plugin from firefox. However when I reinstall flash-plugin-10.0.32.18-release.i386 and I go to the plugins tab for firefox it shows Shockwave Flash instead of Adobe Flash so I am still at the same spot.

The "Shockwave Flash" plugin you see is the flash-plugin-10.0.32.18 plugin. Yes, I know is says "Shockwave Flash" and not "Adobe Flash", which can be somewhat mis-leading. Here is a screenshot of flash-plugin-10.0.32.18-release.i386 installed with FF v 3.5.3 as seen in
Code:
about:plugins
Notice the filename. libflashplayer.so

Uninstall those swfdec* packages.

well this is the weird thing. as an example if I go to nbc.com and try to watch a video it never loads. I don't understand why. Plus Gmplayer keeps hijacking my settings, I have Divx web player installed but when I go to stagevu.com it says I don't have it installed and Gmplayer plays the videos instead, and not very well at that. I open Gmplayer preferences and take the check out of all the different players it emulates and it still loads in firefox anyway. grrr.
