How do I get the menu entries for the programs?

According to their website it should have even better compatibility with MS Office documents, it supports VBA, and it is also compatible with other packages like Wordperfect.
That's why I thought to try this.

Well I started Calc and it doesn't start. So I copied the launcher from the menu's to my desktop and opened the properties. Then I copied the command into a terminal and it says:

openoffice.org3 -calc %U
/opt/openoffice.org3/program/oosplash.bin: error while loading shared libraries: libuno_sal.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Now we are so close but it still doesn't want to start.
What needs to be done now?

It starts to download and install everything again. No changes, it still does not want to start the application.
Just forget it. I will look around and try to find it. Thanks again for your help and your time.

The standard openoffice, if you get it from their site and install rpms, can be started with
/opt/openoffice.org3/program/soffice

Don't know about this one.

Hrrm, just glancing at it, I'd call it a poor explanation, at least for non i586 packages--what they call a repo is one, I suppose, though in general when a site says install a repo, they give you a file that is in the format of a repo.

I see they do have an x86 rpm that is what I would consider a repo.

I suspect 3 or 4 lines more of documentation would save people some trouble.
