Ok, I used their python script (modifying it to get x86_64 instead of i586). This worked, it downloaded the rpms. Like the other one (that is, the one I had done from OO's site) it has an executable script that it puts in the same place, /opt/openoffice.org3/program/soffice.

I can start it by calling that script.

HTH.

Hi:

/opt/openoffice.org3/program/oosplash.bin: error while loading shared libraries: libuno_sal.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I use GoOo and have no problems. You may have missed a required package:
Code:
~]$ rpm -qf /opt/openoffice.org/ure/lib/libuno_sal.so.3
openoffice.org-ure-1.5.1-9420.i586
V

P.S. Your previous post shows that YUM obtained this from Fedora repos, not GoOo repo, so it does not match the rest of the suite. Remove and re-install correct version from correct repo.
Code:
================================================== =================================================
Package            Arch Version    Repository Size
================================================== =================================================
Installing:
openoffice.org3 i586 3.1.1-9420 GoOo 211 k
Installing for dependencies:
ooobasis3.1-core01 i586 3.1.1-9420 GoOo 6.7 M
ooobasis3.1-core02 i586 3.1.1-9420 GoOo 282 k
ooobasis3.1-core03 i586 3.1.1-9420 GoOo 7.1 M
ooobasis3.1-core04 i586 3.1.1-9420 GoOo 26 M
ooobasis3.1-core05 i586 3.1.1-9420 GoOo 14 M
ooobasis3.1-core06 i586 3.1.1-9420 GoOo 12 M
ooobasis3.1-core07 i586 3.1.1-9420 GoOo 2.8 M
ooobasis3.1-images i586 3.1.1-9420 GoOo 26 M
openoffice.org-ure i586 1:3.1.1-19.2.fc11 updates 3.1 M
