Arrow Java resurgence?

Now that Oracle owns Sun, does anybody think that there could be a reintroduction to a leaner, meaner Java to compete against .NET and Objective-C?

Is there the possibility that Java can be rebuilt into an open source programming powerhouse language that helps break down the barriers between cross-platform applications?
