Text mode setup utility

I am attempting to create a fedora liveCD that will simply boot up, ask for login, run a script, and shut back down. Everything works, except i have the annoying screen below that comes up before the login prompt every time the disc starts up. Does anyone know how to remove this, or simply prevent it from running on startup? I am using standard kickstart files and livecd-creator.

EDIT: I was finally able to figure out that the program is /usr/sbin/setup... but i still cannot figure out where it is configured to start on boot.

Oh, and here are the kickstart files i am using. I could also use any advice as to what other packages I can remove. All i need is a text based environment, hcitools, wget, ifconfig, and sed. (The disc grabs wired, wireless, and bluetooth mac addresses, so i need anything required to do that.)
Attached Files
File Type: txt fedora-live-base.txt (10.4 KB, 132 views)
File Type: txt livecdEdited.txt (990 Bytes, 84 views)

It's the firstboot program (/sbin/firstboot) and is in /etc/init.d

Not sure how you can get rid of it completely without booting once. (You could probably boot into single user mode, or choose interactive, and get rid of it that way.

Well, it does appear to be that program, but removing the package doesn't help. However, I finally have managed to fix it the dirty way by renaming /usr/sbin/setup to /usr/sbin/setup-tool. Whatever is calling it at boot cannot find it any longer, so it doesn't show up.

My next problem is trying to figure out how to get the cd to prompt for cd removal before it shuts down completely... but i'll make a new thread for that if i need help with it.

Re: Text mode setup utility

sorry for posting in this old threat, but it was one of the first I found to this theme
solution: in the kickstart file, in the configuration section firstboot --disabled
and if you want X to start on boot
xconfig --startxonboot
